In the event of high loads on major works, the type of stacking that can also be used is the Diaphragm Pile type, which is piles of rectangular section derived from one or more Slurry Wall Panels, and used as portant foundations elements in place to large diameter piles.

Its advantages are:

• Knowledge of all real and immediate layers crossed;
• Lack of vibration;
• Gradual adaptation of the stake to the physical conditions of the terrain, with a marked increase in skin friction;
• Ability to reach great depths (up to 70 meters);
• Ability to run a stake in virtually all types of terrain, with or without any kind of water level, and cross small boulder "matações" through the application of special tools (trepano);
• Reduction in the volume of concrete placed inside the "coroamento" blocks.
